Bio / Background
"Fine Tuning" is a collection of twenty lyrical piano pieces composed by Paul Fine and performed by Paul and Korin Hancherlian-Amos.
Paul was born in Sylvania, Ohio and educated at Harvard University and the University of Michigan Medical School. He has been composing music since the age of six, though he was kind enough to exclude his first (the legendary “Let’s Go to the Bakery”) from this compilation. The pieces on "Fine Tuning" were composed over many years to celebrate various people and occasions. When he is not at the piano, Paul is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at University of Michigan Medical School.
Korin was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. Of Armenian descent, she immigrated to the United States in 1976. She received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Performance from Eastern Michigan University under the guidance of Professor Joseph Gurt. Korin has been teaching piano privately since 1983.
