Hot on the scene! Papa Joe has been cookin', since their start in 2001. Drop-dead, all-out, rock and roll revival shows at Nashville premiere showcase clubs made them the buzz of the town, before their CD was even released. Then again, their opening spot for the Allmann Bros, on July 4th, 2002 at the AMSouth Amphitheatre in Nashville may have done it. They played with such power, certainty, and ease, that all activity - live radio plugs, roadies, and even the Allmann Brother Band themselves stopped everything to witness their show.
It's amazing that these young musicians have managed to capture the Memphis/Muscle Shoals sound of the 60s. They even did several recording dates at the famed Muscle Shoals recording studios in 2002.
Soulful singing, Soulful playing, and Soulful songs make them unbeatable, and a tremendous act to see live.
