Bio / Background
Pangeo is a four member group based in Seattle drawn together by a passion for the music of Greece and the Balkans. With a taste for old-style dance music they are equally at home playing ballads from the mountains of Epiros in Greece, or lively tunes from the Bulgarian border area. The instrumentationon the recording includes clarinet, accordion, violin, guitar, percussion and voices for a sound that transports you to another world! This recording features traditional music from the North and West of Greece mostly Macedonia and Epiros. Although the CD is out of print, you can still purchase the tunes in digital form here:
