Bio / Background
Ockham's Razor is a folk rock, Celtic influenced, progressive quartet based out of Seattle.
Their music has been described as such: "The music [of Ockham's Razor] is kind of a Gaelic-Celtic flavor with an interesting pop sensibility. They mix traditional Celtic music with their own brand of exuberance and bring a fresh sound to the old songs."
Ockham's Razor brings youthful twists to traditional Celtic songs.
The band began forming after Ben Ireland and Kris Clements met when they were part of Servants of the Rich. Katie Corcoran joined Servants next and the three formed an instant bond and had a shared vision of the music. The three began working on a side project when they were introduced to RandyWhitelock and Ockham's Razor was born.
Kris Clements says "The term Ockham's Razor just kept showing up in articles I was reading or television shows I was watching and after the third or fourth time, I realized it and thought it fits perfectly.

The term "Ockham's Razor" refers to the principle attributed to 14th-century English logician and Franciscan friar William of Ockham. The principle states, in English, "entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity." In other words "The simplest explanation is usually the best" or "Keep It Simple Stupid."
__________
"Ockham's Razor is a group of young and talented musicians with and Irish rock sound, interwoven with haunting notes and energetic rhythms. They interpret traditional folk tunes in a progressive and stimulating way that leaves the audience listening. Their generous nature is part of the experience; the audience feels like part of the band."
