Bio / Background
With her latest release, folk and blues artist Nancy Cassidy shows us all over again what makes her a multi-million selling artist. Her new CD combines a heart-pure contralto with her brand of folk and a shot of the blues, both stirred up with a little kicker of country.
Cassidy spent a year in the studio recording the thirteen original cuts. They range from Weak Coffee - a blues number that Ella would have died for - to Wanna Go Back to the Country, a Nashville-inflected rocker that shows what a blues-and-folk girl can really do when she decides it’s time to get out there on the floor.
The arrangements are at just the right throttle to power it all up.
