Bubble Trouble

Once when I was a little boy I decided not to go out and play

I wanted to help my mom with the household chores that day

I took out the garbage cans before she even knew

And she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw me clean my room

I went to the kitchen and saw the dishes being soaked

So I loaded the dishwasher but I couldn’t find the soap

I went and got my bubble bath and poured a little in

It didn’t look like there was enough so I poured the whole box in

Then I saw, one, two three tiny bubbles

Four, five, six tiny bubbles

Seven, eight, nine tiny bubbles floating out the dishwasher door

There were ten, twenty, thirty more bubbles

Forty, fifty, sixty more bubbles

Seventy, eighty, ninety bubbles

Bubble trouble for sure!

When my mother saw the mess, she didn’t yell or scream

She knew I was trying to help her and not be mean

After we cleaned it up I brushed my teeth and went to bed

But I couldn’t count any sheep with all those bubbles in my head
