Southern rock with old-timey jazz and blues influences thrown in
Bio / Background
Recorded in NYC and Seattle with producers Marc Copely and Matt Brown, Gods & Nations is a blend of southern alt rock with an old-timey jazz and blues feel. Leonhardt has been compared to a cross-section of artists from Sheryl Crow, Bjork and Alison Krause to Janis, Dylan, Waits and even the Clash. KPAS-TV in Los Angeles says however that "Jennifer is a music phenomenon who's star is rising. She is not a copy of anybody." Rough Draft Freeform Radio out of New Jersey says "great songs, great singer, great soul- I spin the record often."
