Bio / Background
Originally from New York, Hank began playing guitar at age five. He studied at The Cleveland Institute of Music from early childhood until age 17. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1985, he moved to San Diego. Easton's artistic fluency and versatility as a guitarist immediately established him as an in-demand performer, sideman and studio musician on the Southern California circuit.
In addition to his own band, "The Hank Easton Group", Hank is currently the featured lead guitarist in "The Steely Damned", an incredible Steely Dan tribute band. Check out Easton's website at www.hankeaston.com for more information.
This CD, Nylon and Steel showcases Hank Easton's acoustic guitar prowess and exceptional composition on both steel string and nylon string guitars. Pop jazz yes, but not your cookie cutter smooth jazz release by any means. Great listening or background music.
