Bio / Background
Better Late (Moovealong #006) is the title of the second CD from the Steve Hall Quintet. Since releasing their first CD in 2005 to rave reviews from the jazz community the band has continued to perform in the Portland, Oregon area on a steady basis. The quintet has continued to grow and flourish while building up a strong fan base.
Playing off the strengths of Steve Hall’s Hammond organ playing and songwriting, Cal Hudson’s strong saxophone, Patrick Nearing’s vibrant trumpet, Peter Schwimmer’s facile guitar playing, and Kenny Morse’s propulsive drumming the band is surging forward in the jazz arena.
