"i-lek-'tran-ik" is a strange departure for Greg, and is a highly experimental album with "no real instruments allowed" including some purely algorithmic and pattern-based works.
Bio / Background
“i-,lek-'tran-ik” is 1/3rd of a project involving the simultaneous release of three albums, at different 'corners' of the musical spectrum, and features all electronic works including some algorithmic and experimental compositions. Some of it gets pretty weird, which is the whole point.
"acoustic" features simple, basic acoustic songs, many recorded as a single take with just guitar and vocals. "rock" features songs that, ... well, rock. The 3 CD's together ("acoustic", "i-,lek-'tran-ik", and "rock") span Greg's different musical styles.
Greg started playing music before he was born, and began recording original rock songs at the age of 12. That was years ago, and he's been learning new instruments, playing in bands, teaching others, and writing and recording original music ever since.
The music is thoughtful alternative rock with jazz and classical influences, but Greg’s main strength is the wide scope of styles and moods his music transcends.
