Bio / Background
From his earliest involvements in the days of DIY/cassette culture in the 1980s to his current incarnation as a solo laptop performer, remixer, and improviser, Gregory Taylor's music has combined an ear for elegantly restrained sonic textures, generative structures, and an affinity for the timbres, tunings, and structures of nonwestern music (in particular, the gamelan music of central Java).
