Bio / Background
Driving and flying and racing and strolling. Thinking and laughing and smiling and breathing. Let it all happen. But be sure to stop and listen to the music.
Maybe there was a bit of divine intervention. Maybe it's all been strings of happy coincidences, but in Greenwich Meantime world things always have a way of working out just fine. That's not to say that anything's easy, but it always works in the end. The best explanation may be this; GMT are a band of friends. Brothers and sisters too. Rivals, peers and equals. A microcosm and a mini-cosmos.
It's been one year now and the band has seen much progress, success, and change. We've spent thousands of hours creating music, whiled away hundreds of hours on freeways to go play it, slept in countless hotels to re-charge for the next day, and had a pint with good friends, both old and new, in dozens of towns and cities all over this great land. We've discovered just how much work we can do in a day, and how much sleep we need to do it.
↓ more ↓We've learned a million lessons, laughed at a thousand stupid jokes, and even cried a few tears. Our brother and band mate James Libbey and family moved to Europe to teach young minds the joy of music, but not before he shared it all with us. Our old mate and new partner, Jesse Sauve has jumped on the train for the ride, and has showed us a new angle on the old theme. Our rivers have flowed and our mountains have soared. We've lived and learned and grown.
The next year will most certainly bring more challenge and it'll be met with as much vitality and determination as ever. Our ambitions are grand and we're going to see them all to fruition. We hope that it makes you as happy as it makes us.
