Sporting a medley of instruments from piano to glock, mandolin to banjo, and snaps to claps - good, solid, entertainment cultivated after serious hours spent on toboggans, in pajamas, and pounding back flask upon flask of Canada's finest whiskey.
Bio / Background
Whipped up on a warm night in December of 2006, The Good Lovelies had no idea what was to come of their infant band over the next year.
A mere seven months later these three ladies, Caroline Brooks (Brooks Sisters), Sue Passmore (Bluesativa) and Kerri Ough have clocked numerous in-car hours on highways between Toronto and Ottawa; won the "One Fret-Less" award and a spot at the Ottawa Folk Festival in August of 2007; recorded their first EP in a 2-day flash-in-the-pan visit to Whitby, which was celebrated with a gargantuan EP Release Party in Toronto on July 26, 2007; came out tops in auditions perform at this years Shelter Valley Folk Festival; and have been invited to perform at Canadian Music Week 2008.
The monkeys who make up this fun-loving, light-hearted, roots-pop trio don't stop for sleep and won't stop playing until the air goes out of their tires and the strings fly off each one of their stringed instruments.
...even then, I bet they won't stop.
