Bio / Background
This album is so original there really isn't anything to compare it with!!!! Some are calling it a new genre "Dreamo". Empty Hands is an "art-rock" album reminiscent of Genesis, Yes, Moody Blues and Pink Floyd, with lots of piano, organ, synthesizer and guitar parts. However the drum and bass lines are more reminiscent of Joy Division, New Order and Depeche Mode. Even Steven's lyrics are melancholy and introspective. Any music listener who thinks that Rock's best days are in the past needs to listen to this album!!!
The album runs the gammut of emotions, but primarily it deals with the emotions associated with loving someone so much that you would do anything for them, and yet no matter what you do, or how hard you try the other person just doesn't have the same feelings towards you, hence the name "Empty Hands".
Steven plays piano, organ, synthesizers, acoustic/electric guitars, bass, drums, lead and background vocals.
