ELIJAH SAINT
-The Biography-
Elijah Saint was born in Hanover, Jamaica and he became interested in all aspects of music at a young age. At the age of fourteen, he left Jamaica and moved to New York City. It was here where he began to explore his creative capabilities. He performed many times with Michael Walker the lead singer of “Fatback”, a popular soul band from the seventies. Elijah was later signed to Now & Forever Records an independent label in Queens, New York in June of 1994. One of his songs, “Megan Dane”, from his second album titled “Unorthodox 15”, was backed up by Marsha Morrison-- who toured with Pop Reggae artist Shaggy. Elijah then went on to work with R&B singer Leslie Carter and opened up with her at Club Peppers in Manhattan. In addition Elijah Saint worked with D-Hynez, a talented independent artist from Far Rockaway, New York.

In November 2004, Just Plain Folks Music Awards which was held in Santa Ana, California at The Galaxy Concert Theatre nominated Elijah Saint and Desmond Rhoden for “I'm A Born Jamaican” from his first album titled Rebirth for Best Song and Best Album. “Better Days Will Come” and “Sacred Place" from Elijah Saint's second album Unorthodox 15 were selected as the soundtrack to the novel "Playa, Playa, Playa", which is written by the gifted and talented author, Egbert Price, who is working on the novel's film project.
These days you can find Elijah Saint working on his poems and finishing up his novels titled: “Stain (Resolute Protector)”, “Hanover, New York”, “Catch Phrase” Hole” and “Gangsters International.” He's also a fashion artist, designing clothes for his upcoming clothes line known as Saint's Wear. Elijah is what you would call a master of all trades, also having the passion for oil painting and drawing tattoo art designs. His favorite hobby is cooking, which was passed down from generations on both sides of his family. His music has also been aired in Atlanta, Georgia on 89.3 FM WRFG, where he was interviewed. His musical talent was showcased on Atlanta's Comcast television hosted by Robert Allen on heavy rotation in four counties. In addition, Elijah had the rare opportunity to work with John Joseph Kennedy on a project titled “The Royal Critters Whale Magic.” He produced the jingle for The Royal Critters Whale Magic titled “You've Got Whale Mail”, an animated cartoons series for children ages six to twelve. The reason for the project was to save the ocean and every living creature in it.
Elijah has been often described on stage as enigmatic, sensual, and charismatic. He's an Artist, Singer Songwriter, Composer and Producer. His music is about meaningful lyrics interwoven with love and life's complex struggles. He has a wide range of influences ranging from Bob Marley, Prince, U2, Bill Withers, Tracey Chapman, David Bowie and Sade. His versatility, uniqueness and originality in his voice and music make him different from the rest of artists out there. Elijah's music is mixture of Rock, Reggae, Pop, Jazz and R&B but is considered to be an unknown genre that he labels as “MY MUSIC”. Elijah's homepage at Geocities has been successfully created by John Adamantidis in April of 2006. He has a lot of good reviews on the CD Baby website from fans that purchase his album here in the States as well as Europe at www.cdbaby.com/elijahsaint and www.cdbaby.com/cd/elijahsaint2 His beliefs are more on the spiritual level than the religious level. Elijah once said, “When GOD blesses him with success and wealth, he must use it for a greater purpose. Which is to help humanity and every living creatures on this planet in anyway possible.”
