Bio / Background
David Wayne Mathias
David Wayne Mathias was born on August 7th, 1974 in Silvis, Illinois. He was raised in a small rural town called Cleveland, Illinois. He possesses an Associates degree in Electronics and is presently employed at Williams White and Company in Moline, Illinois as a electrical enginer. He resides in Geneseo, Illinois with his wife and two children.
David developed a passionate interest in guitar when he was 12 years old. While growing up, he still recalls country songs playing on the radio throughout the house. He has been performing and writing country music since the early 90's.
In the late 90's, a vocal contest would start his career in the right direction. After finishing first place he was directed to a local recording studio. The engineer showed interest in David's writing abilities and offered to produce his debut album "Anywhere", which was released in October of 2001.
