Bio / Background
The Dirty Birds are not your typical 4-piece rock band. Creative and technical songwriting, ultra high energy performances, and a firm grip on what has made rock music so great in the past are just a few of the attributes that put these cats above and beyond the rest. How about some Billy Gibbons inspired swamp stomp guitar? Ya like that? Don't get too used to it, cos' it'll turn on you in half a second and bite your ass with punk ferocity. Go ahead and add in lead "yakitty" sax, mud-slicked slide guitar, and the occasional delta-blues harp and you're starting to get the idea. But wait, there's more! Bass guitar mastery. Period. Think Entwistle. Think heavy. Think all fingers, all the time. Drums? Yeah, we got 'em. And ya know what? They'll kick your eardrums inside out. LOUD!! Played with jazz's attention to detail, and the power and intensity of the greats - Bonham, Watts, Moon. Dig it? Layer it all up with some gravel and gasoline raw thoat vocals, and ya'll got THE DIRTY BIRDS.
