Bio / Background
this bar has no one left is a last call, emotional slow burn. From the looped moment of clarity of 'Some Bartenders', the bass heavy trance feel of 'In a Cigarette Voice', to the poignant piano-led sadness of 'Face Down on Concrete', Robert Deeble has delivered six rhythmic observations of lives slowly spiraling out of control. These six songs are at once beautiful and harsh in their portrayals of characters attempting to find solace from an existence filled with sadness and loneliness. Recorded over a period beginning in late fall of 04 and ending in early spring 05 at Type Foundry Studio in Portland, OR, by Adam Selzer. Additional instrumentation by Rachel Blumberg (Norfolk & Western, M Ward) drums and vocals, Todd Corbett (Tracker) bass, Amanda Lawrence on viola and Adam Selzer. Limited edition letterpress sleeve.
