WHAT, you may ask, do the Dead Beetles sound like?
Well, imagine if John Lennon and George Harrison descended from Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven. Then imagine, if you will, that they assembled an all-star band to play at their Labor Day Party in the Hamptons, calling on Spinal Tap, Steely Dan, Was Not Was, Doc Watson, NRBQ, Tenacious D, Beck, The Mothers Of Invention, and Jellyfish. Now, imagine Walter Becker losing $34k to Nigel Tufnel, playing poker on the tour bus.
Ok, now stop imagining all that stuff and instead, imagine Portland’s John Reynolds (guitar, vocals) and George Turner (bass, cello, vocals) frolicking with you and all your loved ones in a pristine, sunlit meadow.
