Like a collection of short stories that are thematically linked, he reflects on the deeper meanings of life's mysteries from unique advantage points and rarely considered angles that are quite thought provoking. Through his music Darryl strives to offer everything one would crave in a songwriter -passion, originality and important messages that encourage listeners to know themselves a little better.
The primary and spiritual sources of his music come from such activists as Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Angela Davis. Darryl has been welcomed and received as a solo acoustic artist in various venues throughout the United States. Fresh off a captivating 40-city NACA college tour, the BMI published artist, is described as "introspective and reflective with the ability to share life's meanings and mysteries with his audience.
