Bio / Background
Rick's latest release is a fusion of his new found lyric and vocal capabilities combined with his instrumental writing prowess. Rick and his group, Impact! set the standard up another notch with their unique blend of powerful Rock, Jazz, Funk & Fusion. All of the tunes are Rick's original compositions penned on the Chapman Stick. Holding down the bottom end and chording rhythms or soloing over the top, Rick invites you on a tour of his unique sonic landscapes. His vocal sound is often referred to as being reminiscent of Jim Morrison of the Door's. Tim Whitcanak is amazing in the variety of sounds and textures to his rhythmic comps and searing solos. Greg Funk holds down the rhythm like nobody else, establishing the groove with a vengeance.
