Well-crafted geek pop - 5 songs about losers, evil geniuses and giant squids.
Bio / Background
A little funny + a little sad = a lot awesome. Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow is 5 new songs about losers, evil geniuses and giant squids. Sure, it's goofy geek rock and yes it's hilarious, but listen closely and it will break your heart. Coulton's is the voice of every spooky elementary school kid who could never quite keep his shirt tucked in or shoes tied; every lovelorn mad scientist (that's right, you know who you are); every one of us who has ever spent time alone during the dreaded "Couples Skate" at the roller rink.
"singer-songwriter stylings with all the versatility and winning wit of They Might be Giants"
"if Raffi liked to sing bad words every once in a while"
"like the Barenaked Ladies, but not soul-suckingly horrible in the least"
"Tom Lehrer with a guitar and a high fever"

Mandelbrot Set is the StarTrojan777 wrote on February 28, 2009
Skullcrusher Mountain is a solid track- but those who are in the know- adore Mandelbrot Set. Mr. Coulton's tracks are hit and miss- which works because of his prolific catalog. Often touted as Nerd Music- which most of it is- but this does not mean you have to enjoy it if your a nerd. I don't particular care for 99% of it- but his business model and his style of doing things are a key point in Web/Music 2.0- so at least be able to recognize his name. Try before you buy- definitely- multiple tracks- preferably.
