Some people would refer to Case of the Mondays as a 4th-wave ska/punk band, though they fancy themselves a rock and roll legacy...
Bio / Background
Bands are a dime a dozen, that's all there is to it. Case of the Mondays separate themselves from the norm by coating catchy ska, rock and reggae riffs with clever lyrics and contagious melodies. In a modern music market saturated with whining, screaming, angst-driven manic-depressives, they trudge forward armed with unwavering optimism and high hopes that they will help steer popular music away from the medicine cabinet of despair...
Case of the Mondays hails from what they would refer to as the ghetto streets of Burlington County, New Jersey. Their resume includes playing with some impressive acts such as Streetlight Manifesto, Gym Class Heroes, the Toasters, the Planet-Smashers, Mustard Plug, SGR, Westbound Train, Ruder Than You, and many others. In the Fall of 2005, they opened the Philadelphia-leg of the Ska Is Dead III tour. They've appeared live on Philadelphia's 93.3 WMMR and have been featured on many other stations such as Philly's Y-100.3 WPLY.
↓ more ↓They frequent venues such as the Trocadero and Grape Street Philadelphia, and have played at almost all of Philadelphia's best venues.
