Comments on "How Long?"
- Karen Lloyd, vocalist on tour with Billy Joel and Elton John
This is gorgeous! Love this! This is like a song that Elton John wishes he wrote!
The chorus is beautiful, and so clever without trying too hard to be clever - really flows nicely - love the chord progressions. GREAT song! Who is writing stuff like this out there? No ONE!
Bio
Andrew Lubman has played on numerous recordings for major artists, yet they don't know it. Much like there is an actual human being attached to the voice at the other end of the phone that tells you "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and dial again," Andrew's hands were the ones playing many of the instruments that make up the samples in some of Korg's top-selling keyboards. These keyboards have been used on many chart-topping CDs--hence the connection.
Growing up on a steady diet of Beatles, classical music, Yes, ELP, Billy Joel, The Police and The Chipmunks (c.
↓ more ↓1960 only), Andrew set out to take on the world of music using whatever he could get his hands on. Banging pot lids together in the kitchen worked nicely for starters, but lacked something in the melodic department. At the age of three, after a month of intense study mastering the contrabassoon, Andrew found his muse in the form of the nose whistle. Throw in a two-speed reel-to-reel tape recorder and the rest is history.
