Odd but true post-blues instrumental improvisations for acoustic guitar, mountain dulcimer, steel gourdtar, electric oilcan, banjo, and harmonica.
Bio / Background
Haunted by the ghost of Bukka White, Andy and Michael Futreal play post-blues instrumentals, painting scenes sometimes odd, sometimes dark. This release features 6 live improvisational tracks and 3 transatlantic tape swaps, presented as "you are there" moments channeled through open-tuned acoustic guitars, mountain dulcimer, banjo, gourdtar, electric oilcan guitar, and harmonica.
What Others Are Saying:
The title track, "Bukka's Bad Trip," which previously appeared on the HarHa Askel label cd, "Goin' Down Slow -- Music for Acoustic Guitar," has been hailed by Terrascope Online as "blues wizardry."
