a psychedelic, brit-poppy mix of rock, punk, folk, pop and radical polital thought
Bio / Background
Amazon Mollies defy traditional genre classification offering a tasty smorgasboard of rock, punk, folk, pop and radical polital thought.
Sugar Molly is the third Amazon Mollies CD released on Be In World Records, and offers a psychedelic, brit-poppy 9 song tribute to making music in a wherehouse studio nestled with in a wet, cold, and foggy San Francisco.
Recorded in February 2000 at Global American Studios, recording home to Rodent Records, this album was engineered and co-produced by Elton Ridge, whose impact is more than evident.
You'll find the Molly-esque catchy tunes, copious harmonies and toe-tapping beats found in past albums, combined with Elton's production talents and studio full of toys masquerading as musical instruments.
This album was a long time in coming, but well worth the wait!
