Hawaiian flavored hip hop; arena productions grew up listening to everything from n.w.a to cecilio and kapono, and their music style represents a generation raised on rap via the hawaiian islands.
Bio / Background
The Arena was the party house in Kona, on the island of Hawaii. Every small town has one - the default place to go after the cops come or no one is wiling to put their own place up for the night. It became the place to go on any given night to drink beers, hang out, and occasionally break patio furniture. After a couple years of drunken freestyles and various jam sessions with the dub/rock/reggea band Pepper, Arena Productions rose from the mists of the morning after. Made up of 3 emcees and two producers, Arena Productions makes party hip-hop with an island twist, mixing ukulele, beats, words, fun, and most importantly, conciousness.
