Since it's founding in 1975 Dogtroep became well known in the Netherlands and abroad with a self-styled form of visual theatre. With the ingredients music, technology and humour the group worked on the most unusual sites. In the last few years Dogtroep was confronted with a large cut in it's subsidy. The end is inevitable because with the reduced funds it is not possible to rebuild the group.
