Out of the hot and humid depths of the undisputed batshit-craziest place in the known universe - Florida - comes a megaton blast of twisted punk fury like nothing you've seen or heard. Dirty DNA isn't so much a band as it is an amalgam of some of the biggest names in South Florida's powerful rock scene - from signed and successful bands like Collapsing Lungs / L.U.N.G.S., Crease, Amboog-a-Lard, and the Mary Tyler Whores.
That's who Frank Cassara and Rob Deuce left in March of 2006 to begin writing their own material. They wanted to form a new band - something monstrous and powerful - so they enlisted the help of Fritz Von Winkle, Greg Poncier and George Kokkoris to complete their lineup. Right off the bat, they all realized what they'd inadvertently put together: A South Florida supergroup. Each member of the band they now called Dirty DNA had already known fame, major radio airplay, and time on the road playing to big crowds - but something about this group was different. Something about the raw power of the music and the statement they were making together felt good - like full-on ecstasy-trip, irresponsible-first-time-sex good.
They took to the studio and the result is "Skeleton Sex Scandal," a brutal yet melodic gut-punch that attacks you like a cougar defending its young. It's visceral. It's aggressive. It's sexy. It's political. It's passionate. It's funny. It's intimidating. It's caustic. It features a guest performance from former Anthrax guitarist Danny Spitz.
