Born in Bay City, MI, with influences ranging from Harry Belafonte, The Beatles, Van Morrison, The Doors, Neil Young, and Stevie Wonder early on, then to Elvis Costello, John Hiatt, Ry Cooder, and Peter Gabriel. The music has been likened to Todd Rundgren, Warren Zevon, and Billy Joel most often. Member of Claude Coma and the IV's, San Diego punkers of early 80's lineage. Released "Art From Sin" in 1981 on Goverment Records.

Member of The Burdons, Michigan punk/wave/pop band from 1982 through 1990. The Burdons self-titled release on Big Rock topped out at #40 on the US Rock Indie charts in 1985.

Member of Lorrie Ann & the 3D Rhythm Band, Delta swing blues band out of Illinois from 1994 until 1999. Released "Big Handed Daddy" on Big Rock in 1998.
