CHASING ARROWS is an original rock band from Newport News Virginia. The group was formed in 2005 at Christopher Newport University after Nate Fender and Graham Todd met at an open mic night on campus. Soon after Walter Pierce joined the group and the band quickly brought the campus music scene to life. A year later in 2006 drummer Joe Hamm came on board. Tate Thoreson is the newest member of the group and joined in January 2009.
Each member of CHASING ARROWS comes from a different musical background, which has lead the group to a sound of it's own. After a few years of writing, rehearsing, playing, and recording, CHASING ARROWS is emerging with a sound greater than the sum of it's members.
Chasing Arrows has shared the stage with many notable bands including The Plain White T's, Carbon Leaf, Days Difference, Uh Huh Her, and more. In November 2008, CHASING ARROWS was first runner up for MTVU Best Music on Campus Woodie Award, and appeared on the Woodie Awards Show alongside All American Rejects, Vampire Weekend, Motion City Soundtrack, and Paramore.
CHASING ARROWS is due to release their new E.P. this Fall.
