1. Certified formed at the end of 2004. Sean who used to play bass for Norwich band Braindance wanted to try his hand at vocals. Steve used to play guitar for Nottingham band The Losers in early 90's. Tim hadn't done anything since mid/late 80's when he played bass for Wood Green (London) band Gut Rot. And Dean Dentist hadn't played drums before the band. Over the last few years we've been fortunate enough to have gigged with the likes of Discharge, Chaos Uk, Abrasive Wheels, GBH, Broken Bones, Varukers, Deadline & loads of other class bands.

Our first album 'Piss in your face' came out in 2005 through our own record label Certified Records as we wanted to stick with the DIY ethics we believe in (as we still do with our latest album), Dean left the band in 2006 due to family commitments and was replaced with Pommy from legendary band Riot Squad. Sean from Varukers replaced Steve in 2007.

2. "Certified" is a combination of two rappers: Flawless and Roche. Flawless grew up in the streets of Toronto. As a kid he bounced from neighbourhood to neighbourhood making it very easy to fall in with the wrong crowds, which also made it easy for him to get into trouble with the law. He could see the direction that his life was heading and he didnt like it so he decided to make a change, which found him in Hamilton. Having a passion for music made it easy for him to pick up freestyling and songwriting. He mostly battled with friends at partys and social gatherings. Roche was born In Toronto but spent most of his life in Hamilton. Being from a family who didnt have alot of money, he grew up on the shadier parts of the city and quickly found himself involved with criminals which landed him in a jail cell.It was here that he started freestyling and writing lyrics to pass the time. Shortly after being released he met Flawless battling at a house party. Both shared the same passion for the music and started writing together.Currently they've released their first album titled "These Streetz". They are working on various mixtape and collaboration tracks as well as 2 solo albums: Flawless "No Room For Error" and Roche "Monster". and their second group Mixtape "Untitled".
