Founded in 1996 by the songwriting trio of Dunia Best (vocals), Todd Nocera (keyboards), and Aram Sinnreich (bass), the progressive soul collective Brave New Girl has been a staple of the New York City scene for over a decade. BNG brings its downtown sound from the heart of Harlem to deep Brooklyn, playing soul, jazz and reggae in such venues as the Knitting Factory, Arlene's Grocery, Solomon's Porch and The Shrine.
