Bram Stadhouders is considered one of The Netherlands' best and most refreshing improvising musicians. His style is filmic and dreamy, and he uses guitar and technology to create magical worlds of aural inspiration. Born in a family of music teachers, as 6-year-old boy Bram Stadhouders (NL, 1987) received his first lessons from his Dad on the classical guitar, with which he already won several classical competitions.
Later he continued in the world of rock, jazz, and electronic music, with the same big success. His music is praised by press and fans, and he was chosen as a Young Vip in The Netherlands, connected to the most important tour for upcoming improvising musicians in many sold-out stages, and a show on national television. After graduating from the Utrecht School of Music and Technology, he started touring a lot in the Netherlands, Europe, and the USA. Bram has played with artists like Eric Vloeimans, Jim Black, Harmen Fraanje, Jeroen van Vliet, Eric van der Westen, Haytham Safia, Wouter Jaspers, La?s, Noel Redding (bassist from Jim Hendrix), Nelson Veras, Hein van de Geyn, Matthieu Chazarenc, Staplerfahrer, Grzech Piotrowski, Spinvis, and much more. Besides working regularly as a guest-musician, he performs his own music as a solo-guitarist, as duo with Onno Govaert, and with an international 6-piece band Bram Stadhouders Korps. His music is meandering in between free jazz, ambient and classical composed music.
