RIZE (??) is a Japanese rap-rock band formed in 1997. Their music varies from album to album with influences from reggae to hiphop. The original line-up consisted of Jesse, Nobuaki Kaneko and Tokie. They released their first album, Rookey, in November 2000. In March 2001 Tokie left the band and was replaced by U-ZO on bass. Yoshihiro Nakao joined to group as well as a supporting guitarist. In December 2001 they released their second album, Foreplay.

In December 2001 they released their second album, Foreplay. They spent most of the year 2002 on the Fuck'n'Rock tour in Japan and Korea. November 2002 saw the release of their third album, Natural Vibes.
In March 2005 they released their Best of -album, titled Fuck'n Best. Very soon after, in July 2005, they released another full-lenght album, Spit & Yell.
In March 2006 U-ZO announced he would be leaving the band and was replaced by Nobuaki Kaneko's brother, KenKen.
In November 2006 RIZE released a cover of hide's Pink Spider, the release date coinciding the re-release of the original single.
In February 2007 they released the album Alterna.
Nakao Yoshihiro, the guitarist of RIZE, has resigned from the band as of May 20th, 2008.
