In the time together, Wheeliebar has played with Kiss (beating out over 150 other bands for the opening spot), Five Finger Death Punch, Anthrax, Hinder, Incubus, Sevendust, Trapt, Papa Roach, Cypress Hill, Living Colour, Blue Oyster Cult, Phantom Planet, Tantric, Custom, Local H, Smile Empty Soul, Silvertide, Anew Revolution, DJ Hurricane (formerly with the Beastie Boys), D.R.I., Slaves On Dope, No Warning, Presence, Pigface, Bender, Animal (featuring former members of W.A.S.P. , Randy Piper and Chris Holmes), Index Case, and Perv 54.
Wheeliebar's music has had airplay nationally (49 stations), debuting at number 42 on the metal radio charts on Friday Morning Quarterback, and a tie for the fifth most added band in metal for the week of July12th, 2003. They have played shows nationwide including Nashville, New York City, Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Kansas City, Boston and were selected as a finalist in the 2004 Budweiser Milwaukee Battle of the Bands.
Out of 10,000 CDs and 140,000 songs submitted from 85 different countries,"High Volume Therapeutic", Wheeliebar's debut CD was nominated for "Best Metal CD" and the song "Sick With It" was nominated for "Best Metal Song" in the 2004 Just Plain Folks International Independent Music Awards, held at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, California. Wheeliebar's second CD was also nominated in 2005, and the song "Jellyfish" took second for best metal song and best metal lyrics.
The music of Wheeliebar has also been featured in the documentary film, "The World's Best Prom" filmed by OVO out of New York City and it has been used as background music for an action computer video game as well. Wheeliebar's song "Sick With It" as well as other songs from the debut CD are featured in a motocross DVD by DirtTV out of Canada and a DVD by 346 Extremez from Wisconsin.
Some of the band's influences are cited as Anthrax, Kiss, Run DMC, Black Sabbath, Husker Du, Devo, Living Colour, Red Hot Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and Faith No More. In June, 2002, the band released it's first full-length CD, "High Volume Therapeutic". The CD has now sold thousands of copies worldwide. The second release, "Johnston's Theory" was released in 2005.
Wheeliebar is currently in the studio recording music for their third CD to be released in 2011.
