Wendy McDowell, born on the "spacecoast" of Florida, has been performing around the state for more than half of her life. Her award-winning creative writing skills in high school naturally led her towards penning her own songs. By the time she was 15, Wendy was playing drums and guitar in several Tampa-area bands. While at college in Gainesville, Wendy stepped out in front of the kit more often and began singing her originals. Soon, Wendy was splitting her time as drummer, guitarist, and singer/songwriter, playing "more gigs than anyone" (Moon Magazine).
Eventually, Wendy made the decision to devote herself fully toward her songs and went solo. It wasn't long before other musicians in town looked her up - and she now fronts a finely tuned, fun loving band, Tin Angel. As a solo artist and front woman, Wendy has toured the country, delivering her powerful vocals and insightful lyrics for highly appreciative fans. Her highly confessional prose and emphasis on the rock and roll big beat have intrigued the press and charmed her audiences. Warm and sincere, Wendy McDowell's passion for music and life is contagious.
