Union Jackals

Union Jackals are a 3 piece outfit formed in 2008 in London, UK, comprising of Carl Mann (Lead Vocal, Guitar), Paul Reeves (Guitar, Bass, Backing Vocals) and Stephen Barnes (Keys, Backing Vocals). Their sound is very much in the same vein as britpop and indie bands such as Blur, Ride, House of Love, Super Furry Animals, The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev and Sparklehorse. In 2009, Union Jackals released a double A-side single consisting of Analogue Star and Out of Control.

Their debut album, Universal Screenplay - self-released on 18th October 2010 - was almost entirely recorded and produced by the band, with a few notable contributions from Oxford legends Mark Gardener, Rich Haines and George Shilling.
