?It's like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Dwight Yoakam had a baby, and then Hank Williams, Jr. and Van Halen had a baby. And those two babies grew up and had a baby. And Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Charlie Daniels took turns kicking that baby's @$$ while Billy Joe Shaver and John Prine watched and played poker. Now write all that into a Steve Earle song, and that's pretty much what my music is.??Trent Holloway
Born and raised on the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia, Trent Holloway grew up with a hammer in one hand and a guitar in the other. The oldest son of a construction worker, he grew up in a non-musical family. But at fourteen, his affair with the guitar became a serious relationship, and his whole world changed. A proud son of the South, Trent found his away around the fret board learning great Southern rock guitar licks of the 70's. After earning a business degree from Georgia Southern University, he went to work in the family construction business. Trent had been exposed to country music his entire life; but as the harsh realities of the work world set in, Trent noticed a strong similarity between his life and those country songs he had been hearing for years. His guitar playing and songwriting quickly began to reflect his own experiences and slowly developed into his signature style.
Constantly writing and evolving, you never know what to expect next from this bright, young songwriter.
