TomSter is a one-man band from Finland, with many featuring musicians every now and then. TomSter is Tommi Kokko. There is no real genre to hold onto, Tommi writes whatever he happens to feel like, so there's plenty of variety. Tommi started off his quest for making music in December 2007 when he formed the band "3rd Degree Trauma" with his friends and cousin. The band immediately stormed off to make a few own songs and enter in 2008's installation of ??ni & Vimma. 3rd Degree Trauma then changed practice places and started to slow down their pace -unfortunately.

Meanwhile, Tommi had put together another band for a school diploma, consisting of two of his classmates, him and his cousin (who also played the drums for 3rd Degree Trauma). The band is still without a name, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of material being thrown around. Where 3rd Degree Trauma was more of an old-school trash metal band, this new diploma band hasn't really dubbed themselves anything yet (not wanting to be restricted by genres and such), but the over-all feel is very progressive/mathcore-y. The band draws their inspiration from all over, but some of the biggest influences are Dream Theater; Devin Townsend; Oh, Sleeper; August Burns Red; Trivium and many more.
On top of both band projects and schoolwork, Tommi also writes his own stuff. All of this is completely different from both clearly metal bands, taking a closer look into Tommi's broader musical enthusiasm. All-in-all, things are great and there are high hopes of some great hits, so keep your eyes, ears and mind open.
TomSter's EP "The Two Sides Of A Coin" will be recorded in the Summer/Fall of 2009 and released shortly after along with a small "Making Of"-documentary. The EP will feature some members of both 3rd Degree Trauma and the diploma band, aswell as some new faces/voices.
