THE PINK DELICATES started out in 1995 as THE GWENS, a four piece band steeped in the vocal harmonies of the Everly Brothers and traditions of 60's pop music. After releasing several EP's and the full length album DEVIL'S CLIFF they disbanded and reformed as THE PINK DELICATES. Main songwriter KEVIN NEBLUNG, a GWENS founding member, is now joined by former late stage Gwens players Tony Marchitelli (guitar), Mike Santoro (bass) and John Fedele (drums).
There's still a bit of THE GWENS in their sound, but musically their new album WHO STOLE THE QUIET DAY incorporates many styles of music. From surf (Surf Pajama Party) to pop (Fall Down Stairs, Follow You) to rock (Throwin' Rocks, Open Door) to experimental rock (Sou Del eu Elevado, Harry Knipples) and much more, there's new stuff to explore with each listen. It's a record with varied influences that flows together like a great party.
