There are more than one artist named The Outfit: 1) A rock and roll group 2) A hip-hop group 3) A streetpunk group 4) A drum'n'bass project 1)The Outfits frenzied, polyrhythmic rock and roll sound is inspired by their fondness for a good drink, their seriously short attention spans, and by their disdain of boring, conventional contemporary rock as much as by an eclectic myriad of new and old musical influences. Their music is meant to be memorable and exciting: clever pop songwriting flavored by layers of instrumental melodies and backed by danceable, inventive rhythms.

1)The Outfits frenzied, polyrhythmic rock and roll sound is inspired by their fondness for a good drink, their seriously short attention spans, and by their disdain of boring, conventional contemporary rock as much as by an eclectic myriad of new and old musical influences. Their music is meant to be memorable and exciting: clever pop songwriting flavored by layers of instrumental melodies and backed by danceable, inventive rhythms.

These four obsessive music worshippers have earned a dedicated following by playing consistently fun and frantic live shows. Often booze-addled and always rushing on adrenalin, they dont encourage dancing from their audience, they demand it.

Aside from having played dozens of their own shows at clubs and halls in and out of their hometown of Toronto over the last two years, The Outfit have had the distinction of supporting a number of highly successful international acts including The Killers, Maximo Park, The Dead 60s, and Ambulance Ltd.

They are currently, and as always, at work on new material and scheming about how they can get hold of a box of money or something to fund their recordings and support their ridiculously dysfunctional lifestyles.


2)The hip-hop group The Outfit were from Newark, Delaware. They released their debut 12" Beauty of the Week in '95 and two years later striked back with a dope moody ep. They've had a full length cd release as well entitled Soundtrack of Life.
