The Mighty Parrot Band

The Mighty Parrot Band features Dave Benson, Kelly May, Ben New, Steve Fuchs, and Mike Biglin. Their latest album, Radio Free Europa, is something of a concept album built around a fictitious broadcast from pirate radio station WRFE (Radio Free Europa). The band originated in New Jersey U.S.A. and have shared the stage with Jefferson Starship, the Neville Bros., and Richie Havens. Their material is influenced by World Beat music such as reggae, African Soukous, and Brazilian Samba, etc.

but also is equally tempered with Peter Gabriel, Frank Zappa, Roxy Music, Americana Roots styles, and perhaps a little Jimmy Buffet. Basically The Mighty Parrot is a rock band, but with a quirky twist or two.
