From the soundtrack of the Lion King, to X-Factor performances, to Wayne Rooney's wedding and now the ITV Theme for The FA Cup - The London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) is the nation's favourite choir! If any evidence is needed of the power and glorious beauty of the human voice, LCGC provides it. LCGC are a collective of the finest voices in the country, and are of all ages, races and backgrounds.

The choir was founded in 1982 by the Reverend Bazil Meade, who still leads the choir today. Although rooted in the glorious gospel tradition, their unique style also spans soul, R'n'B and swing-beat, and is delivered with irresistible energy and choreography.
Testament to LCGC's sound is the long list of artists that they have sung with: Madonna, Sting, Elton John, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, James Brown, Mariah Carey, Westlife, Tina turner as well as Gorillaz, Florence & The Machine and Leona Lewis.
LCGC have also lit up the nation's TV screens over the years, appearing recently on BBC Breakfast, The One Show (BBC1), Alan Titchmarsh Show and also have appeared on Parkinson, GMTV, This Morning, Songs of Praise, Jools Holland and the X-Factor.
LCGC became the sound of ITV's coverage of The FA Cup. They sang the theme song ?Abide with Me' on the pitch at the 2009 Cup Final. This culminated in their glorious rendition leading the crowd, and raising the roof. In 2010 LCGC, again, sang on the pitch but at Twickenham Rugby Stadium for the 4 Nations cup final.
With TV dedicating prime time coverage to the sound of choirs, through BBC's big rating ?Last Choir Standing', plus platinum selling ?choral' CDs (The Priests, Only Men Aloud, Fron Male Voice Choir etc), the nation has again shown its love for big vocal harmony singing.
