- Spring 05, Steve recorded and mixed his first album, California Sky, with the help of producer Bryan Cash. - December 07, Carroll released his second studio album of the year, the appropriately titled Come December. Both Come December and its predecessor bride were recorded and mixed while he was living and working at a premier artist colony on the island of Marthas Vineyard, in Massachusetts.

- November 08, After a two part East Coast/ So Cal tour, Steve sat down to record his most upbeat, energetic cuts to date. Break me down is the fourth in a line of great studio albums, every instrument is played by Carroll himself and its acoustic feel really allows him to shine.
