Stella Black is a published voting member of the Recording Academy. As an award winning songwriter, she is currently writing for television and film score submissions. Stella Black infuses her songs with her experiences as a woman in the modern world. A highly-skilled musician with an energetic mind and an exact, unrelenting ear, Stella pushes herself daily to express the enigmatic human experience through the games people play.
Stella Black's latest work is an Orchestral Composition consisting of Opus 1 through Opus 21. This Orchestral work mergers the coloration and ambiance of many cultures reflected in it's name, THE TRAVELER, visually melodic stories of people, some centered on real individuals while others remain imaginative, into this original work. Black will move listeners through time and space on an ethereal and emotional journey. Moving through the album, listeners will hear stories and sounds circumventing the globe, a multi-cultural experience. The double album is set to release in the Spring of 2010 and will be available for purchase from cdbaby.com/StellaBlack/Artist.
Stella is inspired by many cultures due to her background in Opera and Classical Music lending her current performance and writing towards International World Genres and New Age. Other Classical crossover performers such as Il Divo, Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban have been well received by what has been dubbed the "Pop-Opera" or "P'Opera" movement. Stella found her international creative nitch as a composer attending the 2006 Cannes, France Music and Film Festival.''''''
