As a musician, visual artist and practitioner of healing arts, Anke Summerhill ultimately desires transcendence and transformation of the human spirit. She sees the parallel threads running through each of the arts, as her songs explore the subtle details of life and deeper meaning of our common experience. In recent years, she has worked with people of all ages in her community and beyond and is continually inspired by the healing power of music. Anke especially enjoys exploring songwriting & creativity with others as a way to weave community.

Originally from Munich, Germany; Vancouver, British Columbia; and now surrounded by Utah's desert beauty, Anke Summerhill's diverse background and powerful gift of observation has seasoned her songwriting and performances with qualities which make us compassionate.
Her distinct alto voice has been compared by David Lindley, to the rich resonance of a cello.
