Song of the Lakes
Genre:
Folk

Song of the Lakes' first performance together was at the opening of the Northwest Michigan Maritime Museum in 1983. Their five officially released albums are all unique, and each focuses on a different part of Northern Michigan life and maritime lore. They play original songs, as well as the traditional folk songs of the great lakes' seamen. A four-man all-acoustic band, Michael Sullivan, Rick Jones, and Ingemar and Lisa Johansson play everything from the guitar to the Swedish key-fiddle.
