Simply Mike V was born in Indianapolis, and grew up on the south side, he went to Manual HS. He was influenced by Sly and The Family Stone , Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Rick James, James Brown, Lighting Hopskins, BB King all of the Blues and Miles Davies.
