Figuring out how to be a new yorker- starting with eating as much food as possible from street vendors. even two chocolate ice creams with rainbow sprinkles in a row the other day. the soft pretzels with mustard are crazy-good. i should really be a promoter for street food. its freaking delicious. i even sang to a vendor the other day with my new new yorker friend, Hayley. it was magical because he sang back.. i mean, he topped us. he improvised about his hot dog stand. brilliant. love being a baby new yorker and learning the ways.
i moved here three weeks ago... graduated college, packed all I could carry and got on a Greyhound bus. Things not to do in nyc i have learned since my three weeks: 1. tickle strangers on OR off subway (unless you are SURE they are going to like it) 2. try to share soft pretzel in the park (unless you have developed a repore or know how to spell repore repor reporeee 3. agree to taking home a stray kitten (that was yesterday) that looks like a mouse puppet so you just HAD to take it and bring it on a 2nd date with a guy and be like "SURPRISE! A KIIIITY!" (don't worry- got it its shots and stuff at petco and they are taking it)
